Do not let writing become a lost art -
learn to journal!
Especially designed for teen girls, Sparking the Noggin is a unique site that I created to help open the door of the imagination, where thoughts can become reality on paper. As a teenager, I always found that writing my thoughts and feelings down always helped me through the tough times I was experiencing. I found that what I could not say face to face, I could say with pen on paper. It became my happy place. My desire is that you will find this is a place where you can come and learn that you are not alone in your journey of life. It is a place where I hope you will feel encouraged. It is also a place where you can learn to write and express those feelings that are bottled up inside of you.
Writing can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. It can mean panic; it can mean despair; it can mean relief; it can mean an exciting new chapter in life; it can mean goodbye; it can mean the anticipation of something great; it can mean the opening of a door to new worlds...
All of us have a story to tell. All of us have gone through experiences that taught us lessons that we can pass on to others. All of us have daydreamed sometime in our life, imagining things that made us feel like we were right there, only to be abruptly brought back by a a teacher or parent wanting us to focus on the subject at hand. Yes, I know, lots of you out there hate to write! You would not even know where to begin! That is where I want to help, along with other issues in life that may be weighing you down. This site is to be used two fold - first, read the blogs. Using my own experiences as a teenager, I want to share with you through a daily/weekly devotional- style-type blog, how you can turn to paper, and our Lord is heaven, to express yourself as the precious individual that each of you are. Secondly, go to the lesson page and complete the short writing lessons listed there. My hope is that the more you come back, the more you will find you want to write. May you be blessed by what you read and grow spiritually with each passing day.
Blessings to all!
